This paper describes predictions of regret theory and majority rule with respect to transitivity and reviews earlier experimental studies. Subsequent sections present the error model developed by the authors as well as the design and results of experiments. The authors conclude that despite powerful tests, there is little evidence of systematic violation of transitivity.
