This paper synopsizes the results of a late 2016 symposium that dealt with 1) the positive conflict prevention, resolution and transition roles women play in fragile states; 2) the deterring of sexual violence in conflicts; and 3) how to overcome those things that limit the participation of women in peace and security processes.
