This brief warns Australia against selling uranium to India and making an exception to the legal obligations and nonproliferation standards underlying other customers. The author argues that it could undermine Australia's broader foreign policy interests and weaken the national consensus to continue uranium mining and exports. He discusses policy alternatives for Australia in this situation.
