Publication

This publication is a response to the "Challenges Paper" released on 30 April 2007 by the Chair of the WTO negotiations on agriculture. This document seeks solutions to the Doha Round, urging members to drop political posturing and to get to the core issues that have left negotiations at an impasse. The author argues however that the greatest challenge, namely how to ensure agricultural rules support sustainable rural livelihoods, has completely been missed.
