This report summarizes the roundtable discussions on the question of EU-US defense cooperation. With two panels and 14 high-level speakers in Brussels and in Washington, elements of the discussions include the prospects for a permanent structured cooperation within the European Security and Defence Policy; the importance of the EADS tanker deal for future defense cooperation; and questions of interoperability and NATO-EU relations.
