This paper details the growth of the aviation industry. The authors describe how the government and the aviation industry recognize a link between aviation emissions and climate change despite uncertainties about the measurement of the exact effects. The paper also explains the effects of emissions from aviation, the difficulties in making accurate calculations about how these emissions effect climate change as well as actions taken to reduce these emissions.
