This paper discusses the UK Counterterrorism Bill 63 and its implications. It describes how the Bill would confer further powers to gather and share information, take provision for extended pre-charge detention of terrorist suspects and allow post-charge questioning. According to the authors, the Bill would also impose notification requirements on persons convicted of terrorist offenses and allow for enhanced sentencing of offenders.
