Publication

This paper contains a selection of songs about Palestine and the end of the Ottoman Empire. They were played on the US vaudeville circuits between 1912 and 1922, the years just before the Balfour Declaration and down to the Treaty of Lausanne. It aims to show the interpretation of contemporary international events at the popular level.
