This bulletin examines how the debate on post-Brexit EU reform may impact Slovakia’s presidency of the EU Council. According to the text’s author, the Slovaks will spend the majority of their time 1) burnishing their own national image; 2) advocating regional cooperation and the maintenance of close economic ties with the UK; and 3) promoting further EU expansion. The author also highlights what the Slovak presidency might mean for Poland and how Warsaw's presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4) might help prevent V4 members from bolting from the Union in the future.
