This paper discusses the Camp David accords between Egypt and Israel that were concluded in 1978 with the help of US mediation. The author examines relations between the two countries prior to the negotiations, the bargaining structure, the bargaining process itself, and the final agreements. He concludes that besides having an important impact on Middle Eastern politics, the accords provide an interesting case study for the student of bargaining and negotiation.
