Publication

This paper discusses East Timor's path to independence, its separatist conflict with Indonesia, and the role of the United Nations in the sphere of post-conflict reconstruction. The author evaluates the UN's performance and points to the hardships of nation building and post-conflict reconstruction in the newly independent country.
