This policy brief analyzes three major UN global peace and security reviews which UNSG Ban Ki Moon initiated in 2015. Following a brief introduction to the reviews, the text’s author 1) identifies their common elements and implementation challenges; 2) provides insights on the deeper, underlying concerns the reviews raise; and 3) proposes needed security-centered reforms at the UN.
