Certain parties in Israel and the US may hope that the Palestinian conflict can be resolved through a rapprochement in Israel’s relations with the Arab states. However, the author of this text is not so optimistic. He contends that the normalization of Arab-Israeli ties can only happen if it is supported by the Palestinians, and that anything else is just wishful thinking.
