This report 1) advocates the increased and meaningful participation of women in peacebuilding processes, and 2) highlights the stubborn, male-driven problems they continue to face. Two barrier-breaking options, at least according to the text’s author, are to enhance the role and influence of women in political parties and party systems, and to push international actors to live up to their commitments on the participation of women in the politics of peace.
