This text speculates on the direction US foreign policy will take under President-elect Donald Trump. Its authors expect 1) reduced US involvement in global affairs; 2) closer ties with Russia, which may distance the US from traditional European allies; and 3) if Trump rejects the TPP, China’s economic domination of Southeast Asia.
