This paper discusses the need for a peacekeeping force after a unilateral withdrawal from Gaza and the possibility of Australian involvement. The author analyzes the political debate on the withdrawal plans in Israel and discusses the possibility of a peacekeeping operation. He concludes that the international community, including Australia, could have a significant and positive role to play in ensuring a successful withdrawal.
