This paper outlines the responsibility and role that both the US and neighboring countries have in securing stability and durable peace for the Korean Peninsula. The text’s author also 1) provides a historical examination of US-North Korea relations; and 2) explores what may be the most effective options the US and other key external actors involved in the Peninsula have to bring about Korean reunification.
