This report reviews the work of IPI’s Independent Commission on Multilateralism (ICM), which looked at whether the UN-based multilateral system is ‘fit for purpose’ to face the 21st century. The report ultimately provides ten principles that policymakers should follow in order to revitalize the system and address its specific weaknesses.
