This publication examines campaign financing in US states. The authors first establish a normative framework for campaign finance reform. They then present data from the 2006 elections and focus on successful public campaign financing programs in Arizona, Maine, New York and North Carolina. The report provides a blueprint for policymakers in states looking to improve their campaign finance laws.
