This report highlights the importance of the global supply chain to the US economy and examines threats that must be confronted. The paper provides recommendations for strengthening the fragile supply chain and preparing for a disruption. According to the authors, the policy goal is to prevent a disruptive event, like a terrorist attack, from destroying businesses and severely damaging the US economy.
