This report summarizes the proceedings of a March 2008 workshop debating the needs and priorities for future services from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the Middle East. The discussion explored the history and experiences of Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, the Palestinian National Authority, Saudi Arabia and Egypt with the IMF. The participants presented a Middle Eastern perspective on the future global systemic needs that a reformed IMF should be prepared to address.
