Publication

This report summarizes the proceedings of a September 2007 conference exploring research processes in different parts of the world as they relate to building dialog about globalization and its effects. Participants discussed the most pressing research questions related to globalization, models and obstacles of collaborative research as well as research hierarchies, ethics and capacity. The paper concludes with an outline of the next steps agreed upon by participants at the meeting and a summary of how well the first meeting had met its objectives as agreed upon by the organizers and the participants.
