This paper develops a framework for assessing the influence of humanitarian aid on the health of those targeted as the beneficiaries of this aid, and as such, sacrifices an advocacy position to study its impact objectively. The author develops a theoretical model and then evaluates it empirically. The author concludes by offering a series of recommendations for humanitarian aid agencies to improve aid delivery and effectiveness.
