This paper examines NATO's nuclear sharing policy and the deployment of nuclear weapons on continental Europe. The author argues that the weapons stationed in several European countries offer no additional deterrent capability to the strategic nuclear weapons deployed by the US, France and the UK. He also argues that a disarmament of tactical nuclear weapons presents an important opportunity to reduce the dangers of nuclear weapons.
