This report examines efforts to control, by both technical and political measures, the security risks associated with global expansion in the use of nuclear power. It provides an analysis of technological trends in the nuclear industry and political developments in the global nonproliferation arena, concentrating on front and back ends of the nuclear cycle and transportation and storage of nuclear materials.
