This paper discusses the idea of a European army that dates back to the beginnings of the EU. The author presents a vision of a specialized strike force, with significant combat capabilities, skills and firepower used exclusively for the most complicated expeditionary tasks. He also discusses recent developments in the EU integration process and how they affect the creation of such a force.
