This publication provides an overview of India-Vietnam relations from 1954 to 2007. It discusses the nature of the relationship in the security arena and common approaches concerning the rise of China. The author further explores economic linkages focusing on bilateral trade and investments. He concludes that both countries have agreed to raise their cooperation to new heights to meet challenges posed by globalization.
