This publication discusses the nature of economic relations between India and Japan. It identifies structural trends that have supported Indo-Japanese ties and induced economic integration. The authors conclude by pointing to India's lack of representation in regional institutions and discrimination by Japanese companies against Indian companies regarding hi-tech transfers.
