This publication discusses the Jirga peace talks involving Afghanistan and Pakistan. It analyzes the interests of the US, Pakistan and Afghanistan in the process and shortcomings of the Afghan-Pak joint Peace Jirga Declaration. The report concludes that relations are precarious as Pakistan prepares for a second phase of meetings.
