This publication assesses the status of the peace talks between India and Pakistan, focusing on Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) in the Jammu and Kashmir region and incidents of terrorism. It further features analyses of the demilitarization process in Siachen and the impact of the Talbul Navigation Project. The author concludes that much has been achieved in the composite dialogue but many more CBMs should be initiated to invigorate the peace process.
