This publication provides a cross-country analysis of suicide terrorism in a post 9-11 world. Case studies examine suicide terrorism in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, the Maghreb and other states. The author provides an overview of target areas, modus operandi and groups involved in such attacks. It concludes that the rise of organizations ascribing to the ideology of al-Qaida, or the cross-continental rise of the organization itself, is of grave concern.
