This paper provides an overview of trade and investment relations between India and Vietnam examining specific areas of mutual opportunities for investment cooperation. The author further focuses on joint prospects and challenges in the oil and gas sector as well as the pharmaceuticals, steel and transportation industry. He concludes that both countries need to strengthen economic relations through trade forums and a bilateral trade promotion program.
