This paper discusses India-Iran relations in the context of their common security interests in Afghanistan and trade relations. The author argues that relations between the two countries have been eroding over delays in finalizing a multi-billion gas pipeline agreement, the nuclear ambitions of Iran and the pro‐Israeli and pro-American tilt of the Indian leadership.
