This paper addresses the question of how to produce more climate-friendly food and how agricultural trade can be reconciled with climate change. The author does this by presenting and critically outlining the relevant literature on the topic. She concludes that the available literature on agriculture, trade and climate change lacks clear long-term solutions. According to her, emphasis must be placed on the ways in which trade-related greenhouse gas emissions from processes such as transportation and packaging can be reduced.
