This report focuses on the future role of NATO in Afghanistan and the potential of private investment in improving the security situation in the country. The report summarizes the opinions of roundtable discussion participants. Particular topics include NATO's call for greater coordination with such other international bodies as the UN, the EUPOL Mission in Afghanistan and the G8; limits of NATO expeditionary missions; and the need for the international community, the private sector and the Afghan people to work more closely together to provide the investment necessary for long-term Afghan security.
