Publication

This paper considers the ascendency of Hamas as a political force in the Gaza Strip. More specifically, it examines the opportunities and risks for Israel and the West in dealing with Hamas. The author argues that recognizing the organization as a legitimate political actor and forcing it to govern is the best avenue to peace.
