This paper addresses China's attitudes and reactions toward the Indo-US civilian nuclear agreement before the backdrop of international efforts to de-nuclearize North Korea. It outlines China's policy within the Nuclear Suppliers Group, discusses its perception of India's and North Korea's nuclear programs and reviews strategic calculations that have shaped China's behavior. Finally, the paper points to increased nuclear cooperation between China and Pakistan as a reaction to Indo-US cooperation.
