Publication

This paper discusses NATO's role in the Caspian Sea region with regard to the energy security of the West. The author examines the threats of energy shortages to NATO countries and evaluates the feasibility of a diversification plan aimed at coping with increasing energy-related risks. He focuses on the Caspian region in particular and assesses NATO's possibilities to maintain an influence in the region.
