This publications examines the domestically produced Arjun battle tank, which was delivered to the Indian Army starting from June 2006. After providing some background information on the development and purchase of the tank, the author compares it with other main battle tanks along the three criteria: mobility, weapons and battle survivability. The author concludes that Arjun is on par with, and in some respects even outperforms, some acclaimed battle tanks.
