This paper examines Nepal's peace process, identifying chances and challenges. It comments on the state of Nepal after a decade of civil war, describes efforts to build a lasting peace and identifies pitfalls of the related interim agreement. The author points to the importance of how political dynamics are played out between the major political actors and what role India plays especially in lieu of the Naxalite movement.
