This policy brief addresses Nigeria’s political and economic challenges and the country’s ability to play a stabilizing role in its region. The author argues that the ability to play this role depends on the resolution of the Niger Delta conflict. The publication explains that apart from being vital to Nigeria’s fiscal viability, the Niger Delta is important to global energy security.
