This issue of the African Journal on Conflict Resolution (AJCR) discusses issues of conflict mitigation and aggravation, and conflict transformation. Chapters consider the role of women in instigating conflict in Darfur, the role of the print media in the northern Uganda conflict, and the politics of conflict resolution in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Other chapters explore the nexus between human security and land reform in Zimbabwe and measures to curb the incidence of gender-based violence (GBV).
