This issue of the Whitehead Journal contributes to the understanding of informal diplomacy, along with a broader analysis of diplomatic challenges. The following main aspects are projected in it: the application and relevance of track two diplomacy, the value of faith-based diplomacy in confronting the challenges of resolving religious conflicts, the US diplomacy in the age of terrorism and oil dependency, the leadership potential of the office of the first lady, and the role of media and information technology and its impact on cultural diplomacy.
