This paper discusses the developments in Pakistan's Swat Valley since 2006. While the region is getting ever more unstable due to Taliban activities, fears are rife that Peshawar and Quetta face the fall next, a development that would seriously endanger Pakistan's power center Islamabad and neighboring countries such as India and Afghanistan.
