This report is a study of six police stations in major South African metropolitan areas that have high murder rates. It is divided into 20 detailed sections that define, compare and contrast the classifications of crime and perpetrators. The authors discuss the main findings of the study and the motives behind violent killings in the various townships. The report concludes with policy recommendations to address and prevent murders.
