This paper summarizes a skills and job creation workshop for ex-combatant and military veteran reintegration and demobilization in Johannesburg, South Africa. A lack of employment is a key obstacle to ex-combatants successful reintegration in society. The paper addresses the lack of economic integration and marketable skills has resulted in many veterans facing further social stigmatization, exclusion and marginalization.
