This monograph presents a number of key theories on the causes of violence among young people in South Africa. It does not attempt to provide a single, definitive solution to the problem, but rather analyzes a number of key factors impacting children and young people, and which potentially combine to increase the incidence and levels of violence among South Africa’s youth and children.
