This report analyzes the history and factors contributing to the border dispute between Eritrea and Djibouti. It explores the relations between both countries since 1991 as well as prior border disputes. The author highlights the colonial sources of the border dispute and examines its evolution as well as developments at the center of the lack of peace and security in the Horn of Africa. The report concludes with a number of recommendations as a basis for peaceful relations between the two states.
