This report explores the risk of renewed conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea as a result of the termination of the UN mission there in July 2008. It provides background information on the conflict and discusses Eritrea's domestic struggles. The report concludes that the international community has been weak and ineffective in its efforts to resolve the crisis along the Ethiopian/Eritrean border, and offers recommendations.
