This report examines democratization of political participation in Morocco by analyzing the political parties and elections in the country. It begins with an overview of political developments in Morocco, including the various political parties and the role of the press. The author explores major issues and actors affecting the parliamentary political system, comparing the 2002 and 2007 national elections and their impact on political institutions. The report concludes with future scenarios of Moroccan politics and offers policy recommendations.
